Who is Ashley Paz

Business Owner
Ashley has worked in the special event industry since 2002, and currently owns and operates two event focused businesses in Fort Worth's Near Southside. Vera Green Productions is a special event management, marketing, and production firm that specializes in creating socially conservative and eco-friendly events. Vivi Gray Design is a floral and event design house that focuses on environmentally sustainable design through the use of repurposed, local, and recycled elements. As a small business owner, Ashley know what it takes to meet a payroll and operate within a realistic, finite budget.
Community Leader
Ashley has been active with many non-profit organizations through the years that focus on the arts, environment, social causes, and community improvement. Most notably is her work with the Fairmount National Historic District, one of Fort Worth's most active neighborhood, associations. Ashley is a past director of the group's annual home tour where she led a committee to produce the organizations most profitable event to date raising money for neighborhood and community improvement projects. She is also a former member of the Fairmount Board of Directors serving in the capacity of membership chair. During her tenure in this position she played a fundamental role in organizing an outreach group that provided assistance to Daggett Middle School students who are in need.
Mother
Any parent's crowning achievement is their children, and this is no different for Ashley Paz. Her two daughters Vera (four) and Vivian (two) are her reason for everything she does. Whether it be her devotion to the environment through her businesses, her work in improving her neighborhood, and now in her pursuit of the District 9 School Board seat. Ashley wants the best education possible for her children. And what she wants for her children, she wants for all children. Ashley believes community involvement and support for our neighborhood schools are the first step towards meeting these goals, and bringing their performance to the level that parents, children, and taxpayers deserve. And that it shouldn’t be that crazy of an idea that our neighborhood schools can reach that same higher performance level. With Neighborhoods that care about their local schools, and involved parent body, and a board of trustees that can put aside political differences to work together this is achievable
Environmental Advocate
Ashley was raised with the mentality that you should know where the things that you are using come from, and where they go when you are finished with them. She has taken this mindset and incorporated it into her businesses and personal life, and has earned the recognition as a pioneer in the eco-friendly event industry. Her passion for the environment has been compounded by becoming a mother. Recently, Ashley was nominated for the Greensource DFW Environmental Leadership Awards as an environmental entrepreneur. She has been designated as one of the nation’s top 100 home based green businesses by Startup nation, and has been featured in many online and print publications for her expertise in eco-friendly business practices.
